In October of 2020, the final piece of the AWS CDK with TypeScript Pluralsight learning path was produced and published by Scott Tate.  Diving very deeply into ultra advanced topics, this course pulls out all the stops on teaching the most advanced (and difficult to find) techniques for:

• Scaling
• Modularization
• Construct Testing
• Stack Design

Training Cannot Exist Without Advanced Courses?

Hello World ‘schmello-world’.  No one every learns anything building to-do lists.  Scott has a strong belief that advanced courses are the cornerstone of furthering one’s career and learning experience.  .

CDK 3 IS Advanced

It’s not for the faint of heart.  However, the course IS intended to be taken after the first two courses in the learning path.  Scott has built an extremely comprehensive demo into the course that youc an refer back to time and time again in your future development with the AWS CDK.

So What’s Next?

While the AWS CDK is a wonderful technology, it is (admittedly) a bit cloud specific.  It is for this purpose that Blndspt has partnered with Pulumi in their efforts to build more cloud-agnostic IaC.

With full disclosure, no implementation can truly be fully cloud-agnostic, as clouds have different types of resources.  However, similar cloud resource concepts can be used to create highly consistent experiences across cloud implementations (including on premises clouds).   To that end, no more courses for CDK are planned.  However, we plan to press the Pulumi aspect of teaching, evangelism, and overall loud shouting as a standard here at Blndspt.
